Acceptance

Ahh, here we are, in the midst of a relaxing Christmas break. It is nearly noon and I have been up since appx. 8:55, yet I am still in my pajamas and do not intend to change for another few hours. So far, so good, I am not homicidal towards any of my beloved family members, and Molly, my beloved black lab is sniffing around, trying to get remnants of the bake-fest my mom and I have been having.

The most awesome news of late? I got accepted into TFA!!! I got the letter on Monday, and I can't even express how nervous I was when I got the letter. The letter's envelope was a bit torn already and frighteningly thin. My RA letter wasn't even this thin. I tore open the envelope and pulled out the letter and tried to access how much was written on it. I knew it would either say, NO!!! with tons of exclamation points, or a very nice letter with my admission ensured. Thank goodness, it was the latter. I started weeping with happiness in the middle of the mail room at the school and shook for a good ten minutes. I had been so worked up about it for so long, the uncertainty of what I was doing with my life was hanging over my head...well, more like a large sandbag attached to my neck. My mom had even offered me the opportunity to stay at home for a year to sort out grad school, etc. But there is no need to live at home! Because I have a two-year job! Bwaaahahaha! I'm so ecstatic still. Rah. I even had a cute moment with my parents at the dinner table the other day when I mentioned that my students would have to call me Miss P______. Adorable.

So yes, I can enjoy the rest of my break without worrying. Awesome.

Ok, well, I thought I would let everyone know about the status, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
