Neuvo Mexico, Part Dos

Ah yes, hello everyone, I hope everyone's 2005 is shaping up to the best year ever, and not in the VH1 sense of the word.

Well, I have received my placement for TFA, and it is.....New Mexico.

Haha, yep, it is true, I have been placed in the state that I have lived in since the first grade.

My immediate disappointment faded within 24 hours though, as I have realized that my own selfish-nature was the only reason I wanted to leave the state--wanting to explore a new part of the country, bragging how cool my new area of the country was/is, and learning new styles of cuisine/culture, independence etc.

Which is all very nice.

But truthfully, I am needed here in my own state. Particularly in the area that I am being placed--in or around Gallup. I am excited to learn more about my own state, the different ethnicities within, and I will be able to pursue two artistic fronts more faithfully--photography and poetry.

Another huge plus is that moving and setting up there will cost next to nothing, so I will not feel as guilty towards my parents helping out, etc. I will also be getting a car! Woohoo! AND! It gets better! My parents are building a new house right now, so I will be getting a lot of their old furniture--which is awesome. And have I mentioned that in just 3 short years, I can earn my masters from the university that I already attend--paid for by education grants? Oh yeah.

So, what started out as a huge sad moment for me has turned into one huge blessing, so far...

Yay!

So, sometime in the next week, I am looking forward to buying an MP3 player, like an iPod or somesuch. I heard a rumor that you have to have Windows XP to get an iPod though...does anyone know if this is true? Let me know...
